In concern to Field Duty Part 1... I figured out a way that I can get into the story.
Y'all can become engaged later on, while still on route to the plant, and I show up in the engagement. I'm left over from a failed attempt to knock out the AA gun that shot y'all down (we were sent before you to clear the way for you..and failed obviously :) I survived where-as my squad didn't and I saw the "boat" get shot down and headed in y'alls direction as fast as I could).
This load-out fine Fractured?
Name and Rank: Pvt. Erin Bludd (callsign= Raze)
Tier/Class: Sapper
Squad Function: Demolitionist
Desired Weapons: 1 AFS rifle (Pulse ammo), 1 polarity gun
Desired Equipment: 1 UI integrator (makes any UI user friendly...and has a "self" hacking mode in case hacker dies but it is much slower than a hacker), 1 Mechanical Suit (not sure of heaviness of armor), multiple HE devices.
Desired Logos: Lightning and Decay
Personal Characteristics: mentioned in transfer request :P (I don't feel like retyping >.>)
Specialization: Demolitions with a secondary in Hacking
Dragnl0rd- 01-23-2007
Specialization: Demolitions with a secondary in Hacking and in Planetary Terrain (I'm really good with maps and have a photographic memory and that's how I survived where-as my squad didn't)
There'd be a whole slew of questions if you, the orienteer (aka guide/terrain specialist) were the lone survivor only because of your skills relating to aforementioned specialization. Not good questions either.

That better? I was typing everything I thought as I went and I wasn't completely thinking everything I thought through. Was just trying to get ideas down and then come back and edit until Fractured responded....
And putting some thought into it...why would the demolitionist be the orienter/guide? Doesn't make much sense to me. Thanks for pointing it out Dragnl0rd. :)
Edit: Its like a movie you're not supposed to ask questions ;P. But against the Bane I would suspect (maybe even expect) many things to go wrong especially with green troops which is what I suspect there to be by reading the story. Not calling the others green, just saying..eh its too hard for me to explain atm either that or I'm not making sense...

Problem Solving is what I do.

sounds fine, Ebbs.... Frac seems a touch, out of of touch, at the moment...
I remember him saying something about it, but not the specifics.
When this starts up again, I think we'll start with you showing up (or us finding you) it'll be a good way to get the story back on track.

hmmmm finding me is probably a better idea. Like I could be found under one of my dead squadmates or something.
And I was thinking "Ruby" would be a better callsign methinks because Erin has red hair. Havoc is cool but I just think "Ruby" would fit better.

Or scarlet, crimson, rouge, cerise, copper, damask, titian
then there's always callsigns based on profession:
flame (sparks/sparky), charge, fuse, blast, burst, thumper, raze, flare...
(personally, I like "raze" myself.... cause, well... Drag is already gonna be Boomer (he's stuck with it ;)), and he's our other sapper so far... and "Boom and Raze" sounds good together :-D)
Dragnl0rd- 01-24-2007
Heh. Boom and Raze. Does sound like a good combo. Say, can't have that combo if I'm not in, so hell, find me too!
GhostHack- 01-25-2007
would be a bit easier to explain away if the detatchment was "waylaid" by bane activity, as opposed to neglegent or simple failure to complete
Dragnl0rd- 01-25-2007
I got it.
Squad was on it's way to a bane bunker, which is why *2* demolitionists were along as opposed to the usual 1. Unfortunately, the bane found out, and the squad was ambushed.
A bit of a fire fight and a depleted crab-mine supply later, the bane are all dead, but so is most of the squad, and the bunker is rubble. Too bad one of the demolitionists was still inside eh? Is he still breathing? You decide!

Boomer and Raze....that is an awesome combo. Yeah I'll go with Raze.
DS is a medic so he can bring Drag's vitals back up. I could have taken a good whack to the head or something. Y'all are coming up with better ideas at the moment.
So if Drag is getting in on it does he need to post his load-out also?
Heeeeeey...I was just thinking (I know scary thought) and could this be leading up to when GH starts recruiting new members? I mean, like this mission ends and the story ends with us running into GH or something of the like. Eh I'm just trying to tie things together because it'd seem cool to me.
